FiberTite Building Codes/Approvals Support Engineer

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Organizing, planning, and executing all projects on time and on budget for all code bodies; coordinating overall project budgets, schedules, scope, deliverables, execution, and final reporting
  • Achieving and maintaining Building Code and Regulatory Approvals for FiberTite products on national and international levels to meet the needs of the market and maintain FiberTite's competitive edge
    • Providing current approval documentation and code content expertise
    • Summarizing data and respective information into tools for use by Sales and Technical Services
  • Ensuring compliance with all code body audits by ensuring that audit manuals are current and accurate, all audit non-compliances are addressed, and that all audits are conducted as required
  • Analyzing competitive roof systems and products for technical performance and positioning
    • Developing and delivering technical countermeasures/alternative response for use by Sales and Technical Services
  • Serving as the FiberTite Trade representative at Industry Trade Organizations (i.e. ASTM, SPRI, CFFA/VRA), providing status reports and key developments
  • Fulfilling related customer requests for product/system reports and/or certifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or prior experience in building codes.  Minimum 3-5 years of Code Approvals and building codes experience within commercial roofing or related commercial construction (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is preferred.
