Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Maintains safety as a top priority; performs duties in a safe manner; actively looks for and reports potentially unsafe conditions and “near misses”.
  • Uses the IMPACT Sales Process to meet annual sales and profitability objectives.
  • Makes sales presentations to owners, roofing consultants, contractors and architects throughout assigned territory; maintains key relationships, and negotiates and closes deals.
  • Works with the Regional Manager to review market conditions and determine customer needs, price schedules, and returns and allowances. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares and expedites sales orders.
  • Provides monthly sales forecasts and weekly activity reports.
  • Uses the Technical Representative Department resources effectively by planning and coordinating job requirements and communicating to tech reps and customers on a timely basis.
  • Develops reliable, timely sales forecasts.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of area to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Provides market intelligence on new products and current product modifications to research and development.
  • Assists in coordinating the annual customer service survey and provides and uses feedback to improve individual results.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with ten years related experience in the roofing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
