Reliable Connections Between Fabric and Frame
Keder is the rope edge that connects a fabric panel to its frame. It slides into a channel in an aluminum extrusion rail. Keder has two components, a PVC extrusion core and a woven fabric jacket.
That gives the panel one continuous path to the frame. The panel edge is sewn or welded to the keder cord, the cord seats in the channel, and the keder rails (extrusions) hold the panel on the frame. Keder rails can be added to almost any existing frame without alterations or modifications.
The jacket’s fibers are exposed on the outside, so the cord slides smoothly into the rail. That makes keder easier to install than other rope edges.
