WOOSTER, OH [September 2016] - The Trustees of the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) recently recognized Seaman Corporation for 25 years of support to Independent Higher Education in Ohio, and the commitment to assisting students to achieve their educational goals. With the support of donors like Seaman Corporation, OFIC raises both unrestricted and restricted gifts. OFIC is committed to distributing those gifts efficiently to independent colleges and universities and strive to be America’s premier state foundation.
Seaman Corporation is pleased to offer continued support to an organization that believes the ultimate value of its efforts and donor gifts is demonstrated through the successful, productive lives of students and graduates.
“One of Ohio’s great resources is its vast array of independent colleges,” said Richard Seaman, Chairman of the Seaman Corporation Board of Directors. “These institutions offer competitive choices for all young students and thereby raise the quality of higher education at both the private and public level. Support for OFIC provides businesses in the state with a very effective way to sustain this educational treasurer.”
OFIC was founded in 1950 and conducts annual solicitations of companies and foundations to benefit private colleges in Ohio. The Foundation currently has 34 member institutions and 95,000 students.
