Doing More with Less to Protect Our Planet

Efficient Structures through Architectural Membranes

Our architectural membranes are proven to last over 20 years and maintain their appearance by resisting dirt buildup. They offer significant sustainability advantages over traditional brick-and-mortar buildings as they are much lighter, require less energy to produce and reduce fuel consumption associated with transportation to the jobsite. These structures can also achieve insulation values equivalent to 8-10 inches of fiberglass, contributing to low energy consumption.

The membranes can be easily replaced, extending the lifespan of the building's frame. They may be dismantled and reassembled at new sites, minimizing waste. This flexibility and efficient operation make them an ideal sustainable solution.

Sustainable Product Design

We minimize impact on the planet through the efficient use of raw materials and longevity of our roofing membranes and geomembranes. FiberTite® roof membranes use 40% fewer raw materials than common industry solutions, yet offer twice the puncture resistance and double the lifecycle performance. This design results in 80% fewer raw materials consumed over the membrane's lifecycle, significantly reducing environmental impact.

Similarly, our XR® Geomembranes perform twice as long as alternative membranes while using less raw material. Unlike concrete, which eventually cracks due to weathering, XR® Geomembranes offer a more sustainable and durable solution for various installations, highlighting their importance in reducing material use and enhancing environmental sustainability.

Cool Roofs Lead to Greener Buildings

Buildings can absorb heat from the sun, resulting in excess consumption of greenhouse gas emissions through air conditioning. Our FiberTite® roof membranes have received top scores for improving building efficiency and meet the efficiency requirements for a number of leading accredited organizations including Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), LEED Green Building Rating System for New Construction, and California Title 24.

We’re committed to helping customers save money in annual energy costs while enabling them to build greener, more efficient buildings.

Recycling Waste Materials

We are committed to sustainability by actively recycling industrial waste, reducing landfill demand, and promoting a circular economy. Our efforts include recycling waste yarn, polymer, and fabric edge trimmings, significantly minimizing our environmental footprint.

Collaborating with several partners, we repurpose these materials for use in their processes, further extending the lifecycle of our products. This includes incorporation into commercial flooring.

Through these initiatives, we recycle an estimated 110 tons of material per month, and continuously seek new ways to eliminate scrap and enhance our recycling practices. This dedication not only supports our planet but also reinforces our commitment to innovative waste management solutions.
