Located approximately 60 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio, Wooster is constantly rated as one of the most desirable places in the state to live. With a population of 27,000, the community was served for forty years by a local racquet club with four courts. When this facility closed the Wooster tennis community needed a new facility. Richard Seaman, Chairman of the Board at Seaman Corporation and an avid tennis player decided to fill the need with a brand new tennis facility; the Aspen Racquet Club broke ground in August 2017. Situated on six acres, boasting six-courts, a workout room, well-appointed locker rooms and pro shop, this state-of-the-art facility opened its doors in January 2018.  It features ReboundAce playing surfaces with foam layers between the asphalt base and the painted top coat to offer less stress on knees and hips during play.

WOOSTER, Ohio [August 2017] – A groundbreaking ceremony was conducted on Tuesday August 1 for Wooster’s new, state-of-the-art tennis facility on Venture Boulevard. On hand to commemorate the day were Richard Seaman, Chairman of Seaman Corporation; Daniel Tzonev, Asset Investment Manager and Aspen Racquet Club’s President; Ken Chaloupek of Seaman Corporation; and Dan Freeman, Gary Gantz, and Craig Sanders of Freeman Building Systems.

WOOSTER, Ohio [MAY, 2017] FiberTite Roofing Systems is pleased to announce its attendance at the International Waterproofing Forum held on May 22, 2017 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China. 

The International Waterproofing Forum, hosted by International Roofing Alliance and organized by the China National Building Waterproof Association, aims to highlight the latest developments in the research and application of roofing and waterproofing technologies around the world. 

WOOSTER, Ohio [April 2017] – A new recreational facility will soon be available to the Wooster community. Slated to open in time for the upcoming winter tennis season, the Aspen Racquet Club will be a six court indoor tennis facility fully capable of hosting United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournaments. Seaman Corporation is making the investment in the facility that will be located just south of its corporate headquarters on Venture Blvd. The Company is also proposing the donation of approximately ten acres of surrounding land to the City of Wooster to further develop a corporate and community recreational park.

World Vision is a non-profit organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty.  Over the past two years, Seaman Corporation has donated over 45,000 yards of tarp and coated fabric to this organization for distribution in Africa and other countries.

Wooster, OH [December 2016] - Seaman Corporation congratulates Ed Zabek on his retirement after 29 years of service. Most recently Zabek served as Regional Sales Manager in the Eastern United States. He was an asset to the Industrial Fabrics business, developing and maintaining relationships that helped grow the business and achieve many successes throughout the years.

He brings over 25 years of polymer and technical textile sales knowledge to the business, providing product and operational solutions to his customers. “My goal in this position is to support my customers in growing and diversifying their business with innovative coated textile and geomembrane solutions,” said Weisenberger.
